Drinking Jingjiu like this, the flavor just takes off! Can't resist the temptation of Jingjiu
I couldn’t resist the allure of Jinjiu, so I’m mixing up brand-new cocktails with it today.
Lots of you commented on my last post telling me to grab the blue-label version, so I confidently placed an order for it. Right before posting this, I realized I’d bought the wrong one again…
The one I should’ve gotten is regular China Jinjiu with a blue tag on the top left, not the standalone Blue Label Jinjiu.
Alright alright, I’ll get the right one next time for sure.
No wonder this bottle tastes far less medicinal than my last one!
But I can guarantee this Jinjiu Tonic is absolutely delicious!
🍷 Ingredients:
60ml Jinjiu, tonic water, lemon wedges
🍹 Instructions:
• Fill your glass with ice, as much as you like
• Pour in 60ml Jinjiu, top up with tonic water, garnish with a lemon wedge
Jinjiu has a rich, distinct herbal profile on its own, so treat it as your base spirit when mixing drinks.
Don’t overload it with too many mixers, so its original herbal flavours can shine through.
The fizz from tonic water makes the drink light and crisp on the first sip, with subtle herbal medicinal notes lingering in the aftertaste.
All in all, it’s tasty, one-of-a-kind and wonderfully satisfying. So good you’ll fall silent mid-sip.
Drink without counting the shots; wander wherever the night takes you.
Sweet dreams tonight 🌛
